Lisa lILJESTRÖM x Chef Loveland
In June 2024, the Sarah Kravitz proudly presented “It was the touch, that’s all it was,” the first UK solo exhibition by Swedish painter Lisa Liljeström, curated by Elaine ML Tam. The exhibition explored themes of touch and memory through Liljeström’s monochromatic airbrushed paintings, derived from her digital archive of found images. These works evoked a sense of fleeting presence and narrative suspense, celebrating overlooked details and challenging idealized memories.
To commemorate the exhibition’s opening, the gallery hosted an intimate dinner prepared by chef and event stylist Dulcie Loveland. Known for her expertise in creating engaging culinary experiences, Loveland crafted a menu that complemented the exhibition’s themes, enhancing the evening’s sensory engagement.
