Films About Ghana
In August 2024, the Sarah Kravitz Gallery hosted a special screening night dedicated to contemporary filmmaking from Ghana, spotlighting the country’s dynamic and evolving visual culture. The program featured a curated selection of short films and experimental works that explored themes of heritage, identity, migration, and futurism.
The screening aimed to amplify Ghanaian voices and narratives often underrepresented in Western art spaces, while creating space for reflection and dialogue. With a full house and vibrant post-screening discussions, the evening reinforced the gallery’s mission to champion global perspectives through accessible, community-driven programming.
